Tamar Chobanian

Associate Attorney

Tamar Chobanian is an associate attorney at Boyamian Law Partners, LLP specializing in labor and employment matters. After graduating from University of California Los Angeles cum laude in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, she chose to pursue a legal career to advocate for the rights of others. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Chobanian received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.

During her time at Southwestern, Ms. Chobanian was selected to be a member of the Negotiations Honors Program where she competed in various negotiations competitions across the country. In 2020, Ms. Chobanian placed 1st in the National ABA Negotiation Competition in Chicago, Illinois. She also served as an Executive Board member and a teacher’s assistant in the program where she taught students valuable dispute resolution skills. Ms. Chobanian also worked as a law clerk at multiple civil litigation firms focusing on personal injury and employment matters.

Prior to joining Boyamian Law, Ms. Chobanian gained crucial litigation experience while working for a large defense firm. This knowledge gave her insight into the strategies utilized by defense counsel which she now uses to fiercely advocate for her clients. In joining Boyamian Law, Ms. Chobanian has returned to her passion of representing California employees who have been wrongfully treated.

Ms. Chobanian’s passion for the law and advocacy continues to extend beyond the courtroom. Today, Ms. Chobanian serves as a coach for the Negotiations Honors Program where her team placed 1st in the 2023 Fordham National Competition. She is also a member of the Armenian Bar Association and California Employment Lawyers Association.

Ms. Chobanian is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central and Northern District.
